Join us to make a difference by
fighting diaper need in Tampa Bay!

The Tampa Bay Diaper Bank serves to combat diaper need within
Tampa Bay by supplying diapers to programs in our community.

Diaper Need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry, and healthy.

We envision a Tampa Bay where babies, children, and their caregivers have access to essential diapers.

Get Involved

Our number one goal is to supporting families experiencing diaper need in Tampa Bay. While the Tampa Bay Diaper Bank officially became an independent nonprofit in January 2025, donations will still be collected through The Junior League of Tampa during this transition. Over the next few months, there will be an overlap period between The Junior League of Tampa and our new board to ensure a smooth transition. During this time, training and operational setup will take place to guarantee there are no gaps in service, and to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of the diaper bank.

Diaper Need Facts

Diaper Need is a serious issue affecting families in Tampa Bay. According to the National Diaper Bank Network:

  • 15.5 million children in the U.S. aged three or younger live in poor or low-income families.

  • 1 in 2 American families report experiencing diaper need.

  • 3 in 5 parents miss work or school because they cannot afford diapers.

  • Diapers cannot be obtained with food stamps.

  • An average monthly supply of diapers costs approximately $80 per child.

  • No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers.

  • Without transportation, buying diapers at a convenience store rather than a large “big box” store can significantly increase the monthly cost of diapers.

  • Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8.
